About Us
In the late 1970s, a young couple with soon-to-be five kids, not much money, and a whole lot of determination took a leap of faith—and built something that would become a legacy.
Back in 1979, Cozy Heating Inc. was founded as a small, local heating and air conditioning company. A few years later, my parents, Vince and Carina Willett, stepped in, took a chance, and bought the company—believing in something bigger than what it was at the time.
What began as a true mom-and-pop shop slowly became something much more.
In the early days, Cozy didn’t just do heating and air—we sold fireplaces too. Our front office was once a full showroom, and even today, a piece of that history lives on in our family. One of those original old cook stoves now sits in my sister’s home—a reminder of where it all began.
Our family lived right behind the shop, in what’s now our office space. That building holds so many memories… including one of my own beginnings. I was actually born there—in what is now the owner’s office. And every time I walk through those rooms today, I can still picture us as kids running through the house, growing up alongside this business.
This little company, sitting across the street from the cemetery on 67th for the past 47 years, has been shaped by this community in more ways than we can count. Whether you’ve worked for us, trusted us while building your dream home, or invited us into your home to take care of your heating and air—we’ve been honored to be a small part of your story.
Then came 2008.
Like so many small businesses, we faced one of the hardest chapters in our history. The future of Cozy was uncertain, and there were real moments where we didn’t know if the doors would stay open.
That’s when my brother-in-law, Kyle Taylor, stepped up.
At the time, Kyle was our lead installer. But he saw something bigger—something worth fighting for. He built relationships, knocked on doors, and created partnerships with builders that we still work with to this day.
Together, Kyle and my dad kept Cozy alive—and with Kyle’s enthusiasm, skill, and determination, they didn’t just sustain it… they grew it to new levels.
What started as a handful of employees running single jobs has grown into multiple install crews, a full service department, a dedicated sales division, and a multi-person office and dispatch team. We may be a little tight on space in this old building, but we do everything we can to hold onto the small-town, family-run feeling that Cozy was built on.
Not long after, Kyle became a partner—and today, the two of them continue to lead Cozy side by side, with my dad beginning to step into a well-earned retirement.
As the company continued to grow, others stepped up too—including my husband, Steven Maisch.
Steven started in the HVAC industry about 13 years ago, working for another company. When things slowed down there, Cozy brought him on. He started in service, moved into sales, and eventually became our sales manager. Today, he serves as general manager—carrying forward the same values, pride, and work ethic that Vince and Kyle built this company on.
Through it all, one thing has never changed:
Cozy has always been about family.
Not just the family who owns it—but the people who work here, the ones who have been with us for years, and the customers who still walk through our doors just to say hi, share stories, and catch up with Vince and Kyle.
That kind of trust… that kind of connection… you can’t fake it. It’s built over decades.
Over the years, Cozy has never just been about equipment—it’s been about people.
We’ve been incredibly lucky to have team members who didn’t just work here… they stayed. The kind of people who show up year after year, not just for a job—but because this place means something to them.
People like Joe Libby, who has been part of Cozy for 27 years and still leads our new construction sales. And my sister Andrea, who has been the steady, familiar face and heart of our front office for 33 years.
We have several employees who have been with us for over 5 years, and many for more than 10—including our amazing service manager, Stanley.
We’ve also had people leave for other opportunities… and find their way back to us. And I think that says more than anything about what Cozy means to the people who are part of it.
Because that’s what Cozy has always been built on.
Not just experience—but loyalty, growth, and people who truly care.
And for our family, Cozy has always been something we’ve shared. My parents raised five kids, and every one of us has, at some point, worked in the business. No matter where life has taken us, we’ve all carried a deep love for Cozy and the people who make it what it is.
I’m the second youngest in our family, and I’ve spent years in and out of Cozy—now working here every day. And I can honestly say, this company means more to me than words can fully explain.
It’s where I grew up.
It’s part of who I am.
And it’s a legacy I’m incredibly proud to carry forward.
To our team, our customers, and our community—thank you for being part of our story.
We wouldn’t be here without you. ❤️
